Pet Adoption Alternative of Warren

We were looking to adopt a bonded pair of cats since our beloved pet crossed the rainbow bridge. We found a bonded pair on the Pet Adoption Alternative of Warren site and were immediately interested. We filled out an application and were contacted by Judith who runs the rescue. I enjoyed the phone interview and her perspective on whether or not my husband and I were good candidates/matches for these kitties. Judith was very thorough and contacted all our reference and our vet for their input. My references said they felt that the interactions were very positive and professional. Next we got to go to the Avacato Cat Cafe and meet our prospective cats. We were immediately smitten with these kittens! I have had Siamese mix cats for all my adult life and we are so happy to now have these two in our home. The rescue was so kind and took such good care of them. If you’re looking to adopt, please consider this rescue!

I moved to the area a few months ago and have been looking to rescue a furry friend for a couple months now. I did a bunch of research and came across PAAWs which inevitably led me to my sweet new furry friend, Gibbs! The adoption process was smooth and easy and it gave me peace of mind knowing that they truly care about the animals in their care and actually reached out to my references that I put on my application! The volunteer that helped me, Kate, was so kind and helpful, continuing to check on me and my kitty throughout the week after bringing him home. I will absolutely be recommending PAAWs to anyone looking to rescue a pet in the future!

Got our lovely cat Speedy from here a few weeks ago, he was neutered as they said and up to date in his shots. Adoption process was fairly easy and hassle-free.

I adopted my two cats, Chrissy and Chanel from PAAW on 2/16/25, and I am so glad that I did! I had lost my last cat (of 5!) a few months before and I wasn't sure if I was ready to adopt anyone yet. But it felt weird being without any cats after 20 years. I had been looking here and there and saw them. Then they were on a Facebook post for their foster mom's birthday (the BEST foster mom EVER!), and I thought I would miss my chance. So on a whim, I filled out the application with PAAW, figuring it would be at least a few days before I heard anything. Nope! One of my friends who I put as reference messaged already and said that she had already talked to them. It was hardly two hours later! That same day, I spoke to a PAAW volunteer and then their foster mom. I made arrangements to visit Chrissy and Chanel the next day, fell in love, and made the decision to adopt them. They came home two days later and it has been a blast ever since! PAAW is very dedicated to the animals in their care. The application was thorough, all my references were checked, including my veterinary clinic. During the visit, it was clear that their foster mom really cared for them, knew their personalities, and

Absolutely AMAZING team at PAAW! We were searching for two new members to add to our pet family, and filled out the application on their website. I was impressed with how thorough the app was, and it was comforting to know how seriously they took the process. They messaged me back very quickly, and then were clear about their process of talking to my references and my vet to ensure the kittens would be coming to a safe, stable, loving home. Our kitten's foster mom, Danielle, was especially incredible, and shared photos, videos, and health updates throughout the process so that we could stay connected to our new babies until we finally brought them home! I would absolutely recommend PAAW. They take the process seriously, for the best interest of the animals in their care, and their love for the animals just shines through.
